　　Describe an idea you had for improving something at work or college.

　　記住你一開始回答時就說這個改善到底是什么，不要從很遠的地方談起，然后才說這個改進，因為你只有兩分鐘，如果你不及時進入主題，你的回答就會不清楚。盡可能描述這個想法的細節(jié)，不要簡單地說“I had an idea to improve my studies/ work efficiency”。這個問題也不是要求你說那些被他人接受的想法，可以說別人反對的想法。

　　Describe an idea you had for improving something at work or college.

　　When I was at college, I had an idea for improving the use of computers at the library. The previous situation was that people could just go to the library and use the computers for as long as they wanted. It wasn’t a good system because a few people would end up using the computers for several hours and most people wouldn’t get a chance. I suggested that the library divide the computers into two groups. One group would be of computers that you could use for a maximum of three hours. This would give you enough time to do a lot of work on an assignment. The other group of computers would be available to people for a maximum of thirty minutes, giving you enough time to check your email, read the news or find a few important pieces of information on the Internet. The library introduced my suggestion for a month and the feedback from most students was positive, so they kept the system permanently.

　　At work, I once had an idea for improving communications between managers at the company. The managers often had to have meetings to coordinate work between different departments. This was often very difficult to organise because the managers were frequently away on business. My suggestion was that we hold meetings using the Internet. This way, people could talk and even see each other without being in the same room or even the same building. I made the suggestion to my boss, who liked it and implemented it a few weeks later, after the technical issues had been sorted out.
